SMART Estimator

Adding Pavement Lifts
  1. Overview of the Pavement Lift

Pavement lifts allow pedestrian access when scaffolding obstructs a public area along the length of an elevation. In terms of SMART Estimator, as soon as the pavement lift has been applied, the ground lift will be applied with Safety Lamps and Foam Tube Safety Standards and the lift height will be set to a height of 2.7 metres.

In addition, Ledger Bracing will be removed so that pedestrians will have access to and egress from the scaffold’s length. Finally, plan bracing will also be added to the first lift of the scaffold.

  2. Where can I find the Pavement Lift tool?

You can find the Pavement Lift Tool in Model IT by navigating to the Options View on the Toolbar at the far right, from here click on it to select the Pavement Lift.

  3. Applying the Pavement Lift to the Scaffold

After selecting the Pavement Lift Tool, click on the scaffold elevation to apply it to the whole scaffold. This will fit your scaffold with a Pavement Lift, which can be adjusted according to the project’s needs.

Applying the Pavement Lift to an Elevation

By holding down the Ctrl key before using the Pavement Lift tool, the highlight will be limited to one elevation. In this case, hold down the Ctrl key while applying the Pavement Lift as before to apply it to a singular elevation.
