Getting Started
To get started with SMART Estimator, begin by installing the software and ensuring your system meets the required specifications.
System Requirements of SMART Estimator
Step 1.1: Make sure that your Device is compatible with SMART Estimator.
Pricing, Kit and Cost Breakdowns
Once installed, you’ll need to have your Price Rates and Material Configuration set up to begin creating accurate cost breakdowns. Below are recommended documentations from the Setup & Configuration section of the Help Centre.
Setting up your Rates
Step 2: Create a Rate Setting Template project and establish the groundworks for the Cost Breakdown.
Setting up your Kit List & Components
Step 3: Setup the Kit List preferences so that they use the same components you have on the yard, alongside how they should be placed when generating a Scaffold.
Setting up your Material Hire
Step 4: Next setup the Material Hire to account for Depreciation and to make Price IT more accurate.
Quote Template, Enterprise and User Settings
Finally, once your Cost Breakdown is accurate, it’s time to setup SMART Estimator so that it can generate your Branded Quotations, establish the Cloud Server for backups and modifying the User Settings to your preferences.
Importing your Quote Templates
Step 5: Importing the Quote Template that we’ve provided you into SMART Estimator.
Setting up your Cloud Enterprise Server
Step 6: Setup the Enterprise Server. We recommend setting it up on the Cloud for compatibility with SMART Manager.
Setting the User Settings
Step 7: Adjust the Graphic Settings, Contract Number, Auto-Save, Language and Measurement settings as well as your Address and Yard settings.
Finished
Now that you’ve done the Basic Setup for SMART Estimator, you can now properly create your first Estimate. Check the Setup & Configuration section of this Help Centre for further help and more advanced documentation.
