At SMART Scaffolder we are constantly adding new features, making enhancements that our customers have requested and ensuring our software runs on the latest computers. Here are just some highlights from the 2019 release:
Chimney stacks
Chimney stacks can now be easily created in tube and fitting to produce professional drawings, a material list, an accurate price and an automatic quote. A variety of options are available, including whether to access the stack from the gable or eaves, how many sides of the stack to access, the dimensions of the stack and the width of the access scaffold.
Link to accountancy software
One of the most requested features has been a link between SMART Estimator and our customers’ invoicing software. In the latest release you can now link to Sage, QuickBooks and Xero to provide seamless applications for payment. Combined with our handover app that tracks extra hire and variations you never need be out of pocket.
Edit site plans and satellite images
When setting out your scaffold, via a satellite image of the site or on a site plan pdf, you can now mark them up using the new pen and crop image editing tools. The satellite site image is also now available in three different sizes. Pick a large size for larger sites, or a smaller, higher quality photo for smaller projects.
We have also added automatic snap points to allow you to draw more easily and accurately when tracing around the perimeter of a site plan or creating a 3D model.
Pricing and quoting improvements
As well as material rates and hourly rates we have now included day work in the pricing rates. A new automated description summarises all the items in a quote in a single table and prices can now be shown as words or numbers.
Greater flexibility
If you have a scaffold schedule you can very quickly enter the dimension and options to set out your scaffold. You can now set the first lift height even more easily and we’ve added 1.5m lifts to the list of common lift heights, making it even quicker to produce a quote. Inside guardrails can now be set differently on each lift within your scaffold model.
Performance
In the past year we have continued to improve performance. Processes have been simplified and optimised to make the software even faster to load and use.
